Specifically, GU performs the following functions: (a) Assess and monitor the project health (schedule, cost, scope and risk management) of select IT projects from within the Bureau's portfolio of IT projects; (b) Administrator and manage the project server and share point site which stores the IT projects artifacts documentation; (c) Monitors, assesses, and reports on the implementation of OMB's ANSI-748a Earned Value; (d) Perform Enterprise Configuration Management and Enterprise Quality Management oversight of IT Projects leading to higher quality products; and (e) Develop standard IT processes, policies, standards, and guidelines and implement across the IT organizations. Job Function/Responsibilities: The System Administrator shall be able to perform basic administrative duties for the Governance Unit-maintained Microsoft SharePoint 2007 project site and Microsoft Project Server 2003. Basic duties include, but are not limited to, user account management, access control management, site template management, and overall site user interface management. It is highly desirable that the System Administrator possesses 1 year prior experience administering Microsoft SharePoint 2007 and Microsoft Project Server 2003 and/or 2007. Additionally this person shall be responsible for reviewing projects (oversight) and generating objective, accurate and well articulated Project Health Assessments for distribution to senior 0009-03 management. This person should be able to objectively analyze and evaluate the schedule and cost performance for those projects to determine if they will be completed within the stipulated timeframe and budget. This person should also be able to evaluate the risk management processes being employed on those projects. Must Have Skills 2+ years of the following SharePoint 2007 Administration (managing content, configuration web parts and other functionality, assisting users with issues) MS Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) MS Project Server (2003 and/or 2007) MS Project Must Have Soft Skills: Project management/control (Schedule, Cost/Earned Value, Risk) Ability to quickly and easily adapt to changing priorities Excellent Communication skills (written & oral) Nice To Haves: PMP Cert.
